Tourism Website Design Albury

Websites for stays, tours and experiences on the Murray and beyond

Tourism website design in Albury that helps visitors find you while they plan, book you without fuss and turn up knowing what to expect.

Visitors plan on their phones long before they arrive

Most trips to the Border start with a search from somewhere else

Someone in Melbourne or Sydney decides they want a long weekend on the Murray. They type things like “houseboat Lake Hume”, “cabins near Albury” or “bike tours Bright” and scroll. They are comparing photos, prices and dates, often late at night and often on a phone.

If your website is slow, hides the rates or sends them to a booking page that looks like a different business, they go back to the results and pick the next one. A good tourism site answers the obvious questions on the first screen and makes the booking button easy to find.

I build tourism websites in WordPress and Elementor that do exactly that. Fast pages, big honest photos, clear rates and a direct path to your booking engine.

Who I build tourism sites for

Accommodation, tours and anything a visitor might book

Tourism around Albury Wodonga covers a lot of ground. The river, the lake, the wine country around Rutherglen and the King Valley, the historic towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah plus the High Country further up the valleys. Each type of operator needs something slightly different from a website.

Cabins and B and Bs

Room by room pages, rates, house rules and a booking link that sits on every page.

Caravan parks and campgrounds

Site types, powered and unpowered options, pet rules and a map of the park.

Tours and guided trips

Itineraries, pickup points, what to bring and live availability where your system allows it.

Hire businesses

Kayaks, boats, bikes and gear with clear pricing per hour or per day.

Event and function venues

Capacity, packages and an enquiry form that asks the right questions up front.

Attractions and experiences

Opening times, ticket prices, accessibility notes and directions from Albury and Wodonga.

Booking engines and your website should work together

Keep the booking where it is and make the path to it shorter

Most accommodation and tour operators already use a booking engine or channel manager. I do not try to replace it. I build the website around it so the guest moves from your page to your booking screen in one tap, with the dates and room already in mind.

Where your system offers an embedded widget I can place it right on the room or tour page. Where it only offers a link I make that link obvious and consistent. Either way the goal is more direct bookings and fewer commissions paid to third party sites.

If you need a shop for gift vouchers or merchandise as well, that sits under an ecommerce website or the Advanced Website package.

Searches change with the seasons

Summer on the water, autumn in the valleys, winter up the mountains

Tourism searches around the Border follow the calendar. Lake Hume and the Murray get busy in the warmer months. Autumn colours bring people to Bright and Myrtleford. Winter sends visitors through Albury on the way to the snow. Wine weekends and food events in Rutherglen and the King Valley pull their own crowds.

A tourism site should have pages ready for those moments before they arrive, not after. I help you plan seasonal pages and update them with fresh dates and packages each year, so Google already trusts them when the searches pick up.

That ongoing work sits well under one of my local SEO plans, which start at $279 a month with no lock in contract.

Three ways visitors find you

Each one deserves some attention

Tourism operators rarely rely on one source of bookings. These three are the ones I can help with directly.

Google Maps

Your Business Profile

Photos, opening times, the right category and a booking link. Visitors already in town lean on Maps more than anything else.

Your website

Where the booking happens

The place you control fully. Clear rates, honest photos and a short path to book direct.

Google Ads

For peak periods

Ads can fill gaps in quieter weeks or push a new package. Management starts at $198 a month plus your ad spend.

Google Business Profile tips for tourism operators

Small changes that help travellers pick you

Pick the most accurate primary category, such as cabin rental agency, tour operator or caravan park. Add secondary ones that genuinely apply. Upload new photos each season so the profile does not look frozen in time. Add your booking link in the booking field if Google offers it for your category.

Answer the common questions in the Q and A section yourself. Pets, check in times, parking for boats and caravans, wheelchair access. Visitors read these closely.

If you sit on the Victorian side near Wodonga or out towards Tallangatta, make sure your service area and description mention the towns people actually search for. Travellers often search by the bigger name first.

Who builds tourism websites in Albury?

Website Design Albury builds tourism websites for accommodation, tour and hire operators around Albury Wodonga. The business is run by Nick Fritzkowski, who has been building websites since 1995 and builds every site himself in WordPress and Elementor. You can call him on 0413 651 740 or send an enquiry through the contact page.

A Lake Hume accommodation website can connect to most booking engines and channel managers through an embedded widget or a direct booking link. Nick builds the site around the system you already use so guests can check dates and pay without leaving your brand behind. The Advanced Website package from $3300 covers more complex booking setups.

A tourism website in Albury from Website Design Albury costs $880 for a single page, $2200 for a complete multi page site or from $3300 for an advanced site with bookings or a shop. Prices include GST and a free first year of WordPress maintenance. Domain and hosting are extra.

Nick Fritzkowski at Website Design Albury does SEO for tour operators in North East Victoria and across the Border. His local SEO plans cover Google Business Profile work, page updates and keyword research, starting at $279 a month on a month to month basis. See the SEO pricing page for the full list.

The best time to update a tourism website for a busy season is two or three months before it starts. That gives Google time to find and rank the new pages and dates. Refresh rates, packages and photos, then link to the seasonal page from your homepage and Business Profile.

A tourism business that takes bookings through big travel sites still benefits from its own website because direct bookings avoid commission. Many guests find you on a travel site, then search your name to check if booking direct is cheaper or more flexible. Your own site is where you win that booking.

Tourism operators get full access to edit their own WordPress and Elementor website, so rates, photos and seasonal specials can be changed any time. Nick shows you how during handover. If you would rather not, his website updates service can handle it for you.
